Discover your own Berlin
Berlin is like a bag full of surprises which offers each visitor a very different type of surprise. Opera premier or jazz festival, Berlin Film Festival or a spontaneous discovery tour? Go ahead and discover for yourself. The Ku´damm along to the Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial Church to the famous KaDeWe department store. Perhaps a walk to Schloss Charlottenburg. Through the Brandenburg Gate, to the State Opera on the famous Unter den Linden boulevard. Along the Friedrichstraße to the Gendarmenmarkt, down the Oranienburger Straße and to the Potsdamer Platz. Alternatively, go for a walk by the river, along the Spree, on the Havel to Lake Wannsee ... By the way: The Zoologischer Garten is the oldest zoo in Germany and has the most animal species (and, despite this, it’s not the only zoo in Berlin!) If you travel there with bus 100 then you can also take in a city tour on the way and, if you’re lucky, you might even have a real Berliner as bus driver: “Ladies and gents, on the left is the zoo where we have 15,000 animals, not including the passing birds on a flying visit.” (Of course only said in Berlin dialect!)
